Aspects of Sport Management

Besides the traditional sport management subjects, which form the core of this yearly EASM Conference, the Local Organizing Committee wishes to highlight the sport management aspects of Sport Facilities and Events. As every conference has a subtitle, this Sport Management Conference ‘s title and subtitle therefore are:

Best Practices in Sport Facility and Event Management

The traditional subjects of the European Association for Sport Management, which will be addressed during the Conference:

• General Sport Management (Management, Leadership, Organisational theory, Management of Change, Marketing, Quality Management, etc.)
• Sport Management Issues (Political aspects and Sport, Economical aspects and Sport, Ethical and Cultural aspects and Sport, etc.)
• Sport Management Research (Academic and applied)
• Sport Management Education (Curricula, developments, etc.)
• Sport Management Practices (Best practices and applied to the different Domains of Sport: Spectator Sports, Sport and Local Authorities, Tourism, etc.)

These subjects will be addressed throughout the complete program of this conference, either in academic sessions, in practitioner sessions or in workshops. Every day however will get an accent related to the subtitle of this years conference.
